Working with an industry group, including Chevron, Mobil, Conoco Phillips, Ensco and others, VideoRay conducted a demonstration of a methodology to perform ballast tank inspections of FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) Systems using an ROV, rather than manual entry. The goal is to develop safer and more efficient inspection practices in these typically dangerous environments, and to conduct these inspections while the vessel is operational, eliminating the need for dry dock. |
